“Don’t practice until you get it right.

Practice until you can’t get it wrong.”

I know there are tons of workshops showing you how to create an arrangement, an arch, etc., so you can jump start a career into floral design, but what happens when you don’t know why your flowers are dying before the ceremony even begins, or how to fix an installation, or how to manage the situation when the measurements given to you were wrong and you don’t find out until you show up to the venue?

Skills cannot be taught in a matter of hours. Skills have to be learned, practiced and honed. Thus this is not a design workshop with models, moodboards, content creations, and all the fancy frills for a photoshoot. This workshop is for those who would like to learn freelancing skills, who’d like to practice them with us during the course of an actual event week, and who’d like to be able to hone the skills they’ve learned so they can 1) get more freelancing jobs, 2) get to work on more elaborate weddings, and most importantly, 3) make more money because the more experienced and sought-out they are, the more people will be willing to pay them their desired rate and the more they will be asked back.

Many successful floral freelancers work over 30 weddings a year, travel with their favorite designers, make their own schedules, choose the weddings they want to take on, with the flexibility of working on weddings of their own. If this is your goal, then my goal is to make this workshop meaningful and worthwhile to you.
